Nine local social service charities have been selected to receive a grant from revenue generated by the inaugural Myrtle Beach Classic, scheduled May 6-12 at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club, meaning the event will not only showcase the Grand Strand, but also benefit the area. A total of $225,000 will be allocated for 2024.

Further highlighting the culinary talent throughout the Grand Strand, the new season of Chef Swap at The Beach will premiere Saturday, March 2 at 7 p.m. EST on The Cooking Channel. Season Two will showcase an all-new cast of 14 skilled and innovative chefs from the Grand Strand across seven episodes airing weekly until the finale on April 13.

Breeze Airways, the U.S.’ only NLCC, or ‘Nice Low Cost Carrier,’ today announced seasonal service to Hartford from Myrtle Beach with twice weekly service on Thursdays and Sundays starting May 2.
The announcement comes before Breeze has even debuted at MYR, with previously announced nonstop service to Providence, starting February 15, and to both Charleston, WV, and Tampa from May 10.

IMG today announced on December 8th that the 47th World’s Strongest Man (WSM) competition will return to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from May 1-5, 2024. In partnership with Visit Myrtle Beach, next year’s competition will offer reserved general admission seating to enhance the fan experience and a consolidated center stage for the four-day, action-packed competition.
