Aventura on the Ocean (2711 S. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach) – Originally opened in 1978, this boutique oceanfront property recently reopened under a new name following a complete renovation of all guest rooms.
The Breakers Myrtle Beach Resort (2104 N. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach) – The iconic resort has completed a full refresh of guest rooms, corridors and common spaces in its South Tower.
Captain’s Quarters Resort (901 S. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach) – Major renovations to this long-loved family resort are wrapping up with updated exteriors, modernized rooms, and enhanced pool and recreation areas with a new arcade, restaurant and bar, and bowling.
The Caribbean Resort and Villas (3000 N. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach) – Following a $19 million renovation, the resort’s Dominican and Cayman buildings now feature refreshed guest rooms and public spaces, plus the addition of a convenient grab-and-go market.
Compass Cove Oceanfront Resort (2311 S. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach) – This landmark resort recently completed $23 million in upgrades, including renovations to guest rooms, hallways, lobby, front desk, fitness facilities and laundry rooms.
Crown Reef Beach Resort and Waterpark (2913 S. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach) – In addition to its signature waterpark and multiple pools, Crown Reef has expanded its arcade to become the largest oceanfront resort arcade in Myrtle Beach.
The Ellie Beach Resort Myrtle Beach, Tapestry by Hilton (3200 S. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach) – The newly renovated, dual-branded Hilton property unveils a fresh look and a range of updated amenities adjoining the newly renovated DoubleTree Resort by Hilton.
Holiday Inn Club Vacations South Beach Resort (3020 Owners Club Ct., Myrtle Beach) – Opened in 2024, this 16-acre resort adds a modern, family-friendly option to Myrtle Beach’s south end. Phase two of development is currently underway.
Holiday Inn Resort Oceanfront at Surfside Beach (1601 N. Ocean Blvd., Surfside Beach) – Now under the ownership of Innisfree Hotels, this property is undergoing extensive renovations to reintroduce a refreshed coastal lodging experience.
Home2 Suites by Hilton Conway (167 Waccamaw Medical Park Dr., Conway) – This newly constructed hotel opened earlier this year with 100 guest suites featuring fully equipped kitchens and modular furniture, allowing guests to customize their space for their comfort and convenience.
Landmark Resort (1501 S Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach) – The resort has unveiled a multimillion-dollar upgrade that included refreshed guest amenities, enhanced pool and recreation areas, and the seasonal H2OASIS waterpark with three enclosed slides, a kids’ slide and splash-landing area.
Ocean Reef Resort (7100 N. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach) – A $15 million renovation completed in 2025 modernized all guest rooms, the lobby, fitness center, and meeting spaces.
voco The Shelby Hotel (1802 N. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach) – Reopened as South Carolina’s first voco® property under InterContinental Hotels Group, The Shelby delivers a vibrant, retro-inspired coastal experience with contemporary amenities and style. Plans to expand the hotel are underway.

Several accommodation projects are in the planning or construction phase and will be opening in the coming months and years to welcome guests. Here are a few to keep your eye on:
Compass by Margaritaville Hotel (1717 S. Ocean Blvd., North Myrtle Beach) – Just breaking ground, this new-build project will bring the laid-back, tropical energy of the Margaritaville brand to North Myrtle Beach’s Crescent Shores area in early 2027.
Drury Hotel (2608 N. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach) – Earlier this year, the former Sea Dip Oceanfront Resort was purchased by the Drury Development Corporation. The company has announced plans to redevelop the property as a Drury Hotel, adding a new, modern option to the Myrtle Beach skyline.
Hampton Inn & Suites Oceanfront Cherry Grove (3500 N. Ocean Blvd., North Myrtle Beach) – Groundbreaking took place in October 2025 for the Hampton Inn property slated to open in early 2027 with 156, one-bedroom suites near the Cherry Grove Fishing Pier.
Hilton Grand Vacations Oceans 23 Resort (2300 N. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach) – A complete ground-up rebuild of the former Boardwalk Beach Resort, this new property is set to offer 228 rooms and suites when it opens in the upcoming years.
Margaritaville Beach Resort (1700 N. Ocean Blvd., Myrtle Beach) – Plans are in the works for this Jimmy Buffet-themed resort along Myrtle Beach’s Ocean Boulevard between 17th and 18th Avenue North. The resort is set to offer a hotel, pool, parking site, restaurants, bars and more.
