SOS Fall Migration (Sept. 12-21): Celebrate beach music and the official dance of South Carolina, The Shag, as the Society of Stranders gather on Main Street/Ocean Drive in North Myrtle Beach for this popular annual event.
Aynor Harvest Hoe-Down (Sept. 20): A local favorite now in its 45th year, this day-long celebration features a parade, live entertainment, food vendors and a variety of homemade arts and crafts in the quaint town of Aynor.
SeptemberFest! at Barefoot Landing (Sept. 20): As part of the WonderFall at Barefoot Landing celebrations throughout September and October, SeptemberFest! features live music, kids activities and Duplin Winery’s annual Grape Stomp.
Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival (Sept. 26-28): For 50 years, the historic Atalaya Castle in Huntington Beach State Park has hosted this event, where more than 100 artisans showcase unique handcrafted works in a natural coastal setting.
Irish Italian Festival (Sept. 27): Now in its 21st year, this festival brings North Myrtle Beach’s cherished Main Street alive with Irish and Italian food favorites, street performers, live entertainment, vendors and more.
The City of Halloween, SC (Oct. 1-31): Throughout the entire month of October, the historic city of Conway transforms into “Halloween, SC,” offering spooky decor and activities for all ages. You won’t want to miss the first-ever Graveyard Grand Prix Coffin Races, where teams will race their homemade, human-powered “coffins” down a downtown course.
Surfside Beach Fall Family Festival (Oct. 4): Bring the entire family out to the heart of Surfside Beach to enjoy activities the kids will love, live music, food vendors and more.

Art in the Park (Oct. 11-12): Held in Valor Park at Market Common, this artist-run event features handcrafted pottery, paintings, jewelry and more from local and regional artists.
Cruisin’ The Beach Car Show (Oct. 16-19): Admire the modern, classic, muscle and vintage cars at Broadway at the Beach while enjoying vendor booths, food, drinks and more.
Myrtle Beach Greek Festival (Oct. 16-19): Hosted by St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, this beloved festival celebrates Greek culture and authentic cuisine, traditional dancing and handcrafted goods.
Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival (Oct. 17-19): Groove to live jazz performances by local and national musicians at this festival held near the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
Loris Bog-Off Festival (Oct. 18): In its 46th year, this long-standing tradition celebrates the savory, Southern dish, chicken bog, with a day of competitions, live music, food and fun in the historic town of Loris.
The Grand Strand Chef’s Table (Oct. 23): Hosted at Pine Lakes Country Club, this inaugural culinary showcase brings local chefs and James Beard–recognized talent together to serve inventive tasting plates with proceeds supporting JBF’s Good Food for Good mission.
